Lighting of the Courthouse:
Friday at 6:30 pm

The Celebration of Light has been held in Wabash for many years.  It is our way for the citizens of Wabash to join together to ring in the holiday season.   Wabash is the first electrically lighted City in the World.  Electricity and light are historically significant to our community and therefore each year we join together with our neighbors to show the world that the light of Wabash continues to shine on.

Window Voting: People's Choice Award.  People will vote for the business that is the best decorated, has the best window display and shows holiday spirit. The winning business will receive a prize, presented by Wabash Marketplace.

Just like in year's past, participants will pick up a map of the downtown business that will be open for the event and will be required to get a "stamp" at each location.  There will be an adult map and a youth map.

Sponsored by Wabash Marketplace, and the downtown merchants, participants will have the opportunity to win "money" to spend downtown.  Adult and youth maps will be entered to win over $1,000 in Downtown Bucks.

Downtown events will include the lighting of the Wabash County Courthouse, entertainment, refreshments, carolers, a visit from Santa and so much more.
